At Portus Juliana, we believe it is important for parents to be able to contribute ideas and participate in discussions about the education at our school. To increase parental involvement, Portus Juliana has a parent group. In addition, Portus Juliana has its own participation council (MR), which consists of teachers, parents, and students.
Portus Juliana has an active participation council (MR) that meets on average every six weeks to discuss a variety of topics, such as the internal regulations, students' school results, parent satisfaction, finances, and the future of the school. The MR is also affiliated with the Group MR of the Portus group. The MR is independent and, in some matters, has the right to advise or to give consent.
In addition to the topics mentioned above, we are also happy to discuss any issues that concern parents and/or students. If you have any questions, comments, or other concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us! If your feedback fits within the scope of the MR, we will discuss it and provide you with a response.

Mr. Bol represents the MR Juliana in the Group MR of Portus Scholengroep.
Portus Juliana has an active parent circle. Parents and school management meet four times per school year. Parents from the parent circle contribute ideas and discuss our education. They are our critical friends. Do you have a question or topic you would like to see discussed in the parent circle? Then send an email to: juliana@cvo-portus.nl.
To increase parental involvement at the school, Portus Juliana has a parent circle.
One parent from each class participates in this circle. The aim is to further strengthen the contact between parents and the school.
In the parent group, topics such as the transition from primary to secondary education, alignment with further education, assessments, reports, teacher behavior, student behavior, safety, and school policy can be discussed. There is plenty to talk about!
The parent group meets with the principal four times a year. Parents are appointed to the parent group for the current school year. Of course, they can make themselves available again for the following school year.
